Robert Louie, DPT, OCS
Robert Louie has been an owner and therapist at Advanced Orthopedic Rehabilitation since January 2004. Robert graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology/Physiological Science in 1996 and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from USC in 2000. Since graduating, his clinical experience has been exclusively in the field of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy at facilities in Orange County and Beverly Hills. The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties certified him as a Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in June 2004. Robert has been featured on Money 101 on KNX 1070AM discussing physical therapy management of lower back pain.
Dean Yamanuha, DPT
Dean is the newest member of our physical therapy team. He is a native of Hawaii and is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California Doctor of Physical Therapy program, earning his degree in 2008. He finished his undergraduate work at Oregon State University prior to entering physical therapy school. Besides providing quality treatment for the patients of AOR, Dean is working towards the Kaiser Permanente Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program and his ultimate goal is sit for the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Specialist Exam.
Joel Scherr, PT, OCS
Joel Scherr has been an owner of Advanced Orthopedic Rehabilitation since January 2004. He has over 35 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy and has been a certified Orthopedic Physical Therapy Specialist for over 10 years. Joel has attended numerous continuing education courses over the years, virtually all in the field of orthopedic physical therapy, and he continues to strive for more knowledge to better treat his patients. He believes that one should always continue to learn, no matter their age or experience level. Joel operates his own physical therapy clinic in the Cedars-Sinai Medical Towers.
Martha Paterson, OTR/L, CHT
Martha Paterson began practice as an Occupational Therapist in 1987. She began her specialization in Performing Arts Medicine one year later, and received her certification in Hand Therapy in 1994. Specializations in Office Ergonomics and Meningeal Care are also part of her clinical practice. Martha customizes treatment plans with evidence based data for the best possible outcomes. She works one on one in the clinic, side by side with musicians and artists and directly with corporations to minimize the impact of injuries.
